Simon Wall - Biography

Simon studied physics at St. Johns College at the University of Oxford and obtained his masters degree in 2005. He obtained his Doctor of Philosophy degree from the department of physics at Oxford in 2009 under the supervision of Andrea Cavalleri. He then moved to Berlin to work in the group of Martin Wolf at the Fritz Haber Institute and in 2010 he was awarded a fellowship of the Alexander Von Humboldt foundation. In late 2012 Simon was awarded a NEST fellowship to form the UODS group at ICFO and since then he has been further supported by Marie Curie Career integration grant and a Ramon y Cajal award from the Spanish ministry.
